Okay It's 2005 already and we need to suss out if everything is correct with this list?

By the way the red = finished. If anybody has different info about this list then please post it here.

By the way, anybody who's not finished thier map, id like a rough percentage done if you can. Would help to get a better idea of where we all stand.

I'm about to PM you with my maps, they've been listed as finished, but I've done a few tweaks/bug fixes to them. There is almost no chance of me changing them again as I've been devoting most of my mapping time to Zephyr recently. So check your PM's. And those are the correct map names for my two maps. No huge changes to the maps, just some detailing to map21, and fixed some missing textures, and a mistagged switch in map16.

As you asked for precentage, I'd say 85 or even 90% done. And I've gotten through the most annoying part, adding textures that is.

I'd like to change map17's name to 'Assimilation', (I R TEH BORG OLO) as it fits it better now.

If the corrected newdoom sky texture has been confirmed for Maps 21-32, then DooMGoaT and I would like to swap map slots, so that he has map22 and the newdoom sky. I'll have the map20 slot as the sky doesn't really make much of a difference to my map.

There was a thread about it, but it went quiet. So far, I don't think anything has been confirmed. Someone suggested a we have a vote on it which sounds like a good idea to me.

I kind of liked DooMaD's SKY1, although I agree that it looks like a computer-generated landscape.

I like Option #2 with the mountains. I think it fits really well. But I don't have a map between 1-11, so it really wouldn't do anything for my maps.

It just seems far too specific for a bunch of randomly themed maps is all, imo. But thats just my opinon, you guys will decide which sky it is..

Hey sorry, I'm still trying but have been busy lately. I think I might try the brown though.. the orange isnt working for me (although frades made a nice one in the Legacy Mod's and Maps forum...).

Cyber-Menace and I are going to be releasing No Brakes on its own. That map has been from CC2, to DRCW, to be released on its own, and to NDCP. You can keep it as map27 on this, but if you don't want to keep it on the project that's fine.

It is quite rude but It has been through so much, and Cyber-Menace really wanted to see what the community thought of it.
They love it. 5 stars, 7 votes on IDgames database. :D
I probably won't release any more maps on their own though. It's just this map.

Yes it would. Then the people intrested in your map could download NDCP and choose mapXX from there. This way, the project would get a partial credit for the map.

Hmm, I'd have to install Photoshop again on this new comp (athlon64 3500+ \m/ ), but I agree that sky2 is nice, but is too similar to sky 1. Also, I was planning on using sky2 on my Songs map that I replaced in the ndcp, so that would work out. Unfortunately, I dont know what to make for the 2nd sky, unless we use this one:

But DD, you might want to use that one for Vilecore II if I cant figure out a good brownish one? That is up to you, and we can talk about that later if you like.

Anyway, it is up to the team which sky goes where, and what the skies look like, so if anyone has any suggestions I suppose I can take a look.

I actually have fancied up legacy only versions of both my maps, with added 3d floors, deep water sewers etc but I have no plans to release them until at least a few weeks after the NDCP thing is released.

correction, I lost all my wads when my hard drive was murdered a few weeks ago. Ok so i plan to make legacy only versions of both my maps but thats a long term plan for doing after NDCP has made a name for itself, I will do a legacy only version of my map06 in freedoom too. They will be a lot different, lots of 3d etc, you know what Im like.

they remind me of some of turners paintings, very nice.

OH my map15, I remember its name now. 'City of lost souls'

I knew there was a reason for placing all them flying skulls in it.

I would have called it "City of Fighting in a Huge Melee only to Wander around for an Hour later looking for the Red Key Door With Nothing Left to Do." ;)

It was a damn fun map. Took me 3 tries to pass. :D

oops maybe its the legacy one that has all the lost souls, I remember now, I like them because they can bite you through the 3d floors.

I tried to make it similar to the original map 15, a really crappy looking 'urban' setting that ive never really liked. I think my map looks much better and probably plays a bit better too.

I'll be okay but only if it's for Doom II.
I tried a map for ZDoom just a few days ago and "whoah !" It's pretty different from what I do. For 'complex things' I already have UT and Ut2k4 you know. ^^
So don't expect anything evolved from my side or forget me. I'll continue to map, but just for Doom. No jumps, no swimming, no 3D floors and that kind of stuffs, just Doom (like that crazy Megawad called Class_ep ;)).

Also worth noting that there's no way this thing will run without using at least BooM as a port. Too many weird textures and visplane overflows. :D

A port will be recommended in the final readme file. :p

The last mappers show up rarely at newdoom, and Agent Spork and Dittohead are the only ones I know that really map currently. It's going to be a long and strechy deadline. :p

Dittohead is hard at work on his map right now, we talk on AIM. I'm not sure how far along he is but he's always saying he's busy working on it because he wants to get it out of the way so he can start working with others on another project that's caught his interest.

I could make a launcher for the ndcp if wanted, its ironic that you just posted news about lobo's gui launcher when I was just thinking of asking you guys this the other day.heh
Of course if wanted, I'd have to wait until the play test of the mega wad so I would get the low down on what extra cvars to add. in other words i would need to know how you guys are mostly play testing it e.g. -mb -opengl etc.
let me know and I'll fix up a proto type.

Also if it turned out that you guys would like for me to do this, it would require some extra art work for a gui dialog splash image or flash animation.
