It's run on a separate site. We set it up as a means of the public signing that they're boycotting the movie, to show the producers how much money they stand to lose.

The more people that sign this, the more money the producers think they're losing. So sign away!

I doubt this will work. Even if the whole Doom community shows it is against it by signing, there is a much larger group that will probably go to see the movie.

This is the reason that Hollywood pisses me off. They resent the American audience and instead of working with us, they try to force what they want down our throats. Far be it for the people watching the movie to actually have a say on what kind of movie they'd like to watch.

Signed both. For the first, I put down, "If you're gonna make Doom into a movie, stick with the original storyline, for fuck's sake. Don't desecrate one of the greatest video games of all time with a rehashed plot that's been seen in several horror movies in the past. Do the movie right or pack your shit and don't bother making it because you're gonna have the same success not making the movie as making the movie...none."

I hate to tell you all this, but I honesty doubt they're going to change it at this point. The sets will have been built, the actors hired, the rolls assigned. They're scheduled to stop filming January 28th, and are over halfway done filming the movie assuming they're on schedule. They wouldn't scrap a movie so they have to turn around and rebuild sets and visuals, and then hire the actors for that much longer costing them a ton of money. I'd like it if the petitions worked, too, and I wish they would, but in all reality, it's not gonna happen :(
