Hey, i am using doom builder to edit doom maps. DB runs fine and i can even edit in 3D mode.
Doom2 (from the collectors edtion) runs fine too.
But I can't test my map. Even if i inlcude my own wad file in either legeacy.exe or the doomII launchpad it just can't find my map. The combobox with the map listings only holds the standard DoomII maps and it can't find mine for some reason. Did I miss anything?

Well, yeah, I guess you did. Use ZDoom or PRBoom for a start. Legacy is terrible. I also have the same problem using Doombuilder. I start a map and save it and it then doesn't run. Don't know how to fix it though, but I use wadauthor so I don't worry about it too much. :)

For starters the comment on "Legacy is Terrible".... hmmm... maybe you just suck at using great programs?
Secondly, when I test out my maps I just save the map to the Legacy directory, then I use the Doom In-Game console and read in the map, then load the map... easy, simple... beatiful!

When I want to test a map, I simply save it to my DooM folder, fire up the nearest port (usually ZDoom) and test it in real time. In case I can't run it, I check the errors in WadAuthor, remember them, and fix them in DoomBuilder. Repeat step 1.

Ah yes, real time Doom Port testing... same as me... so there you go. Two votes for doing it that way!
