Two important ones:

Eternity (http://www.doomworld.com/eternity/): Excellent compatibility with the original games and early ports (e.g. Boom), and lots of new editing and gameplay features. At least two major projects in the works (Millennium and Mordeth) shall make extensive use of these editing features.

Prboom (http://prboom.sourceforge.net): Definitely the most important port for anyone with an interest in demos, as it allows recording and playback in a wide variety of compatibility modes. Also features an OpenGL mode, a much-enhanced HUD and additional options for demo playback such as fast-forward. A modified version (http://www.geocities.com/e6y/doom.html) adds features including variable gamespeed, walkcam, uncapped framerate, TAS capacity and more.

Another :

Risen3D (http://risen3d.newdoom.com/) Based off Doomsday engine with full Boom support and has its own 3d lines. *thumbs*

Also please don't rate the ports. Unless you reallly reallly really know what they are all about.

You have 2 in there that are essentially ZDOOM copies yet you give 3 different ratings for essentially exactly the same port. IOW, that can't be! It also means you reallly didn't investigate them in much depth.

So please drop the rating stuff and let people discover for themselves what suites their taste and hardware specs.

jDooM can do mods with new weapon sprites...

You just can't add more than the standard number of weapons.

I wouldn't list 'bugs' as a con for vavoom, it doesn't really have many bugs, I think perhaps you should have a poll here at NewDooM and see what people say then post it there, perhaps you could have a soureports for newbies page like scubasteve has a wads for newbies page at doomworld.

And I think Linux support should be listed as a pro for all of them. :)

I would. Of all the source port it's the only one I refuse to use due to all the problems it has. The improper aspect ratio (everything looks squashed) is a killer issue by itself.

It's true, in the 'looks' area, vavoom is pretty sad, but it's got some awsome scripting possibilities.

You know what'd be cool...
Vavoomsday :p

I'd rather see ZVavoom than Vavoomsday! ;)
