View Full Version : Is possible to make inclined floors?

I note some zdoom wads have inclined floors, wich are really great for outdoor environments, and give good illusion. Is this effect possible with JDoom? Maybe via ded file? Thanks.

No. jDooM is very true to original DooM. I'm sure you'd probably be able to do it with an MD2, but not just using jDooM mapping features.

yes, we don't have "Slope" with Doomsday but you can always make that with a md2 models

Hexagon made that for the JDA, i've seen it. It looks pretty awkward though, you walk up the slope and still you move like when you walk up a stair

I think he means that all objects are kind of cubes, so you would step up it like a step not as a slope.

yea, just a model plane... ...looks like a slope but behaves like a stair... ...not very happy to be honnest...

why not make the staircase have very, very small steps? wouldn't this create the illusion, or at least make it look a bit more like you are walking up a slope? what is the smallest size a step can be?

a stair whit steps that have 2grids height ??
