Save the guy near the beginning?

Anyone ever save the guy near the beginning?
Right after the demonic force takes over, you make your way back through the base, and at one point, you go through a door, and up and to your right on a walkway, theres a guy being cornered by a zombie and screaming for help.

i never managed to save him up until now (never really bothered). When you save him, he says something rather comical, or at least... the delivery is comical.

Whoa, i have saved him too ahahhaah, but i haved used cheats for that =C

I shot the zombie, but couldn't hear that guy well enough to understand him.

He said "i'm getting out of here" like i would say it if i had decided to leave a really boring party.
