I'm not usually into new bands, but this band is absolutly awsome, if you have not heard there new one yet, I highly suggest you check it out...

...if your into this sort of thing that is.

It is all covers I believe (YES evena Devo and Lennon cover), but comes across more as a concept album...

...a very meaningful concept album at that, though I'm sure 50% of you won't like it, as 50% of you hate me. :)

Peace!

Wrong thread. But if you like their music, you should check out their first 2 cds! Great albums, both!
I didn't buy the new one, because it's really only covers and remixes, which is totally lame for the 3rd "album", imho.

Aghh, kool, didn't realize we had a Musick thread.

Ya, I've got there other albums, and a live one too. Was pretty fond of TOOL, hence the itnerest.
Seriously, though, even though this is all covers, it is well worth the pick up. Sounds nothing like the original songs for one, and like I said, it comes across as more of a concept album, as all of the songs cover pretty much the same central issue. My personal Favorite Perfect Circle infact.

Maybe I'll get it used on Amazon one day, but I won't pay full price for it.
Btw.: There's also a DVD called "aMotion", containing nothing but remixes and videos.
I think, Mr. Keenan seriously lacks new ideas, which is sad, seeing that APC only had 2 albums... :( Other bands, like Guns 'N Roses or Metallica at least had 5 or 6 albums before they started covering and remixing their old songs. But 2...

Oh well, I'm more of a Fad Gadget/Devo/Skinny Puppy/Ministry person anyhow. I'm not a PC groupy, just impressed with the non-nu-metal sound (which is a current trend now a days) and the message...

...which is something very few bands have today.

I always liked the TOOL videos which they did themselves from what I understand. I have all there albums, but once again, not my favorite band in the world.

you also forget, those bands refused to give up and began to suck consistantly.

im not too keen on emotive. it is alright. also it isnt all covers. 'passive' is an original.

13th step all the way.

Alright I can say that the cover of Devo's Freedom Of Choice (you want Freedom from Choice), sounds almost exactly like the original, everything else sounds...

...different and fresh.
