To celebrate the mouse's birthday (http://forums.newdoom.com/showthread.php?t=25623) thought I would do a poll.

So which kind of pointing device do you use?

Select all the ones you use on a regular basis.

I use many too, but my favorate was that optical trackball with 5 buttons and 2 wheels. Too bad it broke :(

Now i use an optical 3 button, wheel mouse, and a 2 button touchpad.

I use the good ol' 2 button and a scroll, as well as a 5-button optical wireless mouse, and a laptop touchpad on my good ol' mac (http://www.lowendmac.com/pb/540c.shtml)

A two button mouse with scrolling wheel. It's also an optical one too. My graphics tablet too for some stuff like drawing, fractals or if I'm going to be on the computer a while.

three buttons with the third one being the scroll button. So there wasn't an option for that I suppose.

Nope, that's the scroll wheel, I think, are there any scrollers which don't function as a button? Gee
Anyways, I use A 2 Button with scroller, handy as hell :p
Though I used my friends' mouse once and that had 5 buttons, optical and a scroller, playing SOF1 at that time :D

I can understand the use of a cordless mouse, but what's the added utility of having two wheels? Or 5 buttons? A waste of money, I'd say.

The ones with lots of buttons are handy for games with alot of crontrolls, like freelancer or something, but all I have is a 2 button one with a scroller:p

Well considering the mouse is cordless and it was only 10 euro's. I say it was a bargain *drinky*

Games man, games. Two wheels and 5 buttons would be great for games.

I have a Logitech MX500 with 8 buttons, and a Cordless Mousman Optical with 4 buttons. The notebook still has a standard 3-button mouse with wheel. And I have a small graphics tablet (barely used).

Don't wireless mouses eat batteries, like one a day?

Nah, I use rechargeable batteries, and even those last for several weeks, since I don't use the comp too often.

Well anyways, that's why my dad switched to a wired optical mouse ... just hope it isn't actually 'wired' *squint*
