Anybody using thier own textures. You know what? It would make it much easier on me if people would send me thier textures in bitmap form. Otherwise I have to find your textures in your version of the resource wad, extract them and then merge them into the final wad. Its just too much xtra fumbling around. Maybe it's just that Im tired now and want a vacation.
...and even when thats all said and done I still have to figure out how to merge -Ki-'s patch manipulated wad with the one that has everybody elses textures.

I'm not sure. Did you update the texture wad with my stuff yet? If not I'd be happy to send the Bitmaps.

Just check by downloading the texture wad and seeing if it works.

Well I sent him my texture wad last night, so technically I sent in my stuff before this thread was posted, but as a convenience I can send bmp's.

I have many new textures in my wad. Is the texture wad going to be released with the project or inside the main wad file?

Oh, and one thing that bugs me VERY much, is that someone (fool?) has named his/her custom step textures to overwrite the old ones. Not exactly what I want.

The resource wad and the maps are all going to be merged together. Thats easy enough to do and I think seperate files would just be sucky. ;)

Ummm that sucks. What step texture was overwritten? We can add the normal one back in under a new name and you can use that if we need to.

I can see we're going to have to do some debugging once this is all merged. if the step textures are changed I'll have to change a few textures around in my level for sure.

Yeah debugging is right. I also need to debug whoever isn't working on this anymore. :p I might have to do anouther map myself if I have to. I do still have that Lavaplant level if we need to use it to fill a slot.

Basically five of the first step textures were overwritten by almost the same texture, just cut in half horizontally, but since my steps are 16 units tall, they don't look very cool.

I thought the step textures were just 8 pixels tall and tiled to make 16.

Im pretty sure they're 16 high..... but anyways...
Ummmm I don't see any 'new' step patches in the wad and everything looks ok in the texture1 lumpage. *drinky*

Maybe doom2 extended one of the step textures, so when the doom1 graphics were added, it changed it back?

I'm not sure but I was thinking it had to do with that merge thing Stphrz did. I really dunno.
Next time I do a project like this I'll know better. :p

You mean we're still missing some levels? That's not good. Just give me a call if you need help filling any open slots.

Torn has gone missing. I'm taking his slot and working to finish the Lavaplant map to fill in map03. If he ever appears with a finished map before this thing gets released then he can have the slot. Meanwhile I'm waiting to hear from Agent Spork as we haven't seen him around in awhile. His web site also went missing. :/
Then again maybe somebody else should do map03.... *bug*

If I had a map even somewhat done, I'd be glad to finish it for this project, but I don't and unfortunatley there is no way I could make a whole map by the end of the night to make the deadline

Like everybody is going to be done by the 16th. Not likely. Deadlines don't work.... just ask Valve Software about Sept 30th. :P

I think it means if you cross it, then your dead or something and the demons will come and drag you down into the abyss. LOL. I know I've never actually been able to beat one before. :p

Well, I know that I'll need (I think one of Exl's maps needs it as well) the waterfall texture from Plutonia. Unfortunately, I don't own a copy of Final Doom, so I can't get it myself. Heh, I'm having to substitute a friggin' bloodfall for it right now, looks silly. :p

What do we do? send them in and tell you the same name we have them as in the wad so we don't get walls with missing stuff? (I'll send mine in with the wad when it's done)
