Tell us what instruments(if any) you play:D
I have played the piano since I was 5, and 7 years later I am about to take my grade 5 exam:D I used to play the trumpet but sold it for an electric guitar, which I can play part of the doom 3 theme, E1M1 and Muse- plug in baby.
basically I can play any instrument I touch apart from woodwind:D

The first instrument I learned was descant recorder, then treble and then tenor when I was in primary school so in the end I could play all three. Then I didn't play anything for years until I was 18 and bought myself a cheapy electric guitar which I'd been wanting to learn how to play since I was about 6 and heard Brian May's guitar playing in Queen. I'll have been playing for 3 years next year in January, but I'm not as good as some people who've been playing that long. *ugh*

I played flute and piccolo from the ages of 10-17, regularly. I don't even know what would happen if I picked one up now. heh.

You might still remember. While I can't play treble recorder now I can still play descant and tenor recorder because they use the same shapes for the same notes and a couple of years ago I found a recorder at home, a book and began to play just like I had done after a few hours of remembering! I probably couldn't go ahead and just play something right now but it's pretty fixed in my memory somewhere!

I always wondered if there´s anything else than Manowar´s style to be considered True Metal :). Could you please enlighten me in that???.

I used to play acoustic guitar a few years back, I was taking lessons. Sadly, my first instructor went to a musical college and my second instructor moved... talk about bad luck. I haven't bothered to look for another instructor atm. *owell*

Try learning it yourself :).
In my personal experience I found most useful to take lessons with an instructor when I had already learnt to play the guitar by myself. He tried to fix all my errors and also to teach me new things about musical theory that, suddenly, made me understand everything I played on my own.
Guitar is such a beautiful instruments... Damn, let´s record stuff and put links to them XD!.

Damn, let´s record stuff and put links to them XD!.

When I can play the guitar solo from Doom 2 MAP01 I'll record it, I can play quarter of it at about 0.8 speed atm, its really hard getting it to full speed :p when I can do that I'll jus learn the rest of it, its jus a case of remembering the 4 pages of it, thats how long the tab is...

When me an my friend find a decent drummer for our band, he's learning bass pretty fast, as he is extremely talented at music (what my piano teacher says to me but pfft...)
If and when we find a drummer I'll try to record some stuff for people to hear :)

Electric and accostic guitar, 10 months down the line and mostly self taught! :D

i can play the Doom 3 theme pretty well too, i love that dropped D tuning...

i can also play bits and bobs of other doom stuff such as:

e1m4
e2m5
e3m3 minus the impossible solo bits
e3m8 but its hard cus its so fast
map 07
map 10, main melody anyway

e1m1 is actually quite hard to play.
