A simple pawn i messed up on:

It would have been marble or glass, but i dont have a texture.

how did you mess up on it? other than the fact that it's made of wood (maybe it's a hobo's chess piece)

Yea ill get a marble texture sometime. The base is blocky looking. I messed up when i was trying to follow the tutorial and didnt do the top right.

Ok i did a glass effect on it (stupid me forgot to save the work i did last time so i had to red do the top agian)

I dont play chess much anymore so i wouldn't know. Im currently tring to create an entire game, so far i have the rook and a pawn done (how do i import the pawn to my new scene?) The knight is going to be trouble...I have better looking wood textures, i just picked an old looking one for that render.

hmm.. I dunno.. something about the glass makes it look more like ice.. maybe it's too clear?

Yea, i might have to make it more foggy. I could make an animation of a chess game and save it as a video file, but i cant program to make it an actual game. I have the bishop done, but he looks funny so i might redo it a bit.
