New Doom Hud Face

Well not actually new ...But old school. I hear people talk about how they don't like the ones out there because they don't look like the original Doom Guy. So here ya go, the original...kinda... it's better

There are two kinds Sharp & Median But both look better than the basic one.

what I want is a 3d model for his face. newly remade weapon images. Just a new, good looking hud in general

Well you can already change the sprites for the statusbar and stuff. It's just that no 3D model states have yet been inserted into the engine for the hud face. I think that if Skyjake implents that we could also have 3d text and other stuff:)

It's not just that, a 2D rendering mode for 3D models needs to be added. Most likely that'll come with Hawthorn.

To be honest, that looks like pure crap. Where the hell is this guy, anyway? I concur with PimpUigi, Hellbound is dead.

Did he do that himself, or is that just a filter or something? I get tired of people using Photoshop/2xSaI filters and claiming like they worked hard on it.

Beings that I used similar filters for my high-res sprites, I figure the sharp version probably involved either a bit of pixel by pixel, or selective filtering. The Median version is that one run through median filter of maybe 5. It really takes several steps of minor filtering to get it just right, though.

As For The Quality & How They Where Done

1. Just Simple Upscales Of The Original Pics & Cleaned Up The Edges, One With Median The Other Without

2. They Where Just Thrown Out There, People Can Make Their Own Decisions If They Want Them Or Not.

3. I Never Claimed To Be An "ARTIST" & Surely Never Work Hard On Anything I Do.....Hard Work Should Be Against The Law!

4. As For My Doom64 Weapons & Titles, Why Am I & My Puny Skills The Only Ones Out There? Hello... Where Is Everyone. I Know I'm Not The Only One That Loves Doom Absolution. And There Are Without A Dought Better "ARTIST" Than I Pretend To Be!
I Would Like To See Someone Else's Stuff Besides My Own.*thumbs*
