Since this has nothing to do with my texture pack Ill use this thread for certain things pertaining to the models, graphics, skins, mechanics, lights etc with my model pack Ive been working on.

Anyway Ive release Alpha .04 if you want a peek. There is also a patch for previous beta testers. I suggest deleting these files if you use the patch though since Ive changed the name.

/kicksprofiles/NPEP.ksa
/Defs/jDoom/NPEP.DED

Any other questions or what not lemme know.

no offense but im hosting this from my own personal webserver and last time I let everyone download from it i couldnt get out on the net. You can complain all you want about registering but the simple fact is I have put my own work in to it and the time it takes for you to register is NOTHING compared to the time debugging md2s, skins, textures, etc.

As far as the model pack goes, please check the readme before you post issues with the pack. Mainly with the imp model. I wont be releasing incomplete concept models if I keep receiving the same blurb about models not having squish effects etc. The main reason concept models are even released are to pretty much to show you what is in the works and how it is developing. If your wanting a completed pack check out dani's JDRP as my pack is still in ALPHA stage. This means INCOMPLETE, not even BETA stage.

Might I recommend finding a site to host your files? Forcing people to register is just making less people view your work, which is obviously not what you want, or you wouldn't be telling us about it.

Seems like surely you can find a Doom site to host your stuff. Hell, maybe even NewDoom :).

Im sorry if you got offended. :( But I can't tell you how many site that acually have what I am looking for, but then right when I come close to finding what I want. I have to registure for and account that I would probably never use again. It jsut gets frustrating.

I am really sorry. I just dont wish to registure.

I would recommend registuring, it's worth it considering all the hard work that comes with Envids site. I think it kicks ass. Envid might end up with a swollen head from this.:p

*envids head is now too big to fit into the HTML hole* *l7*

His site is quite nice and has it's perks. Plus his textures are kick ass as well. *thumbs*

Hey that reminds me how's the models coming along Envid???

im actually closing everything off until its finished including the pack. The point of the pack was for beta testers to give their comments on what they see in production. Obviously i made a mistake so ill wait until everything is 100% before any release. I already know the pistol is "hands down" better quality than the current JDRP's, as well as the double barrel shotgun. The original shotgun's only issue is that i have to reskin the old hand again.

I can post before and afters if u want me to show u.

pistol quality is easy to see...

as with the double barrel.....

personal preference but the old glove skin needs to be changed to the new one

This was not to knock the current JDRP because ive seen what dani is trying to do with 1.1 and it will definitley help. But like all artists our artistic style differ greatly.

atm the project is on hold.... i have other things im doing in my free time. Ill probably resume the project in a while but i think this time ill hand choose my testers like dani is doing. Throwing the stuff i do to registered users helps my bandwidth but doesnt help the cause since people expect "completed" work and not concept stuff.

double post... heh

Ive released all my models and textures that go with it in 3ds format. They can be used for whatever as I have no interest atm and dani is already tearing up the ground with his new models at a quality I can say would be difficult to compete as with wasted effort. Although if you read this dani, u can use the models for whatever you want.

The texture project I will just be dabbing in, in my free time as I am getting involved with my own programming. Thanks everyone for your support and to the help I received in understanding the jdoom formats.

:(

Well, I hope you still make some textures when you've the time to spare, theres still a load of gaps like the tekwalls and various slimy skins in there.

Yea ill be getting in to texturing again when I complete this 3d engine im working on. It is in no related to jdoom but it is my highest priority. In my free time Ive been dabbing with an ATI specific plugin for the Jdoom port as Ive been implementing bump maps, spec maps, and some other nifty things my ATI card seems to have. Nothing completed atm since i usually spread myself out but ill be sure to keep everyone up to date. lol and dont worry I usually check this site every 2-3 days so I havnt "left" heheh

btw, if "JFILES" wants any of the textures on my site to represent the official texture pack go ahead and use them. Let me remind everyone that only JFILES has my consent for the distribution.

Yea i know im an ass but hey, lotsa work went in to em.

Thanks Envid, you're a star :)

This Jdoom mod sounds intresting, have you got any test screenshots to show off yet?

Envid

when i complete the mod ill post screenshots, ive learned to complete things before i post or at least have them extremely close to complete. Its interesting because the bump mapping can be applied to md2 models as well giving alot more realism.
