Getting Trapped at Windows

I play Doom using the source port called "Doomsday", and it works almost flawlessly, except for one thing, I always play Doom in the dark, and I trust my instincts where to press the keys, it is the Windows button, with the logo on it, sometimes I press that button instead of the CTRL button, and it kicks me back to the Desktop, that's all normal until now, I click on the link to open it back up, to the window, but instead Doomsday freezes up *jawdrop* which makes me press CTRL+ALT+Delete to cancel it. Is this normal or what? It just annoys me when I forget to save in some spots, and then I have to start all over. Is it just the port?

Try a different control setup, like a keyboard mouse combo.

With Kickstart under the MISC. tab there is an option to "Disable windows system keys". That may work.
