I went to see Dragonforce!!

They were fucking great!! :D

Went with my sister and one of her uni pals to see them in Glasgow last night. Absoloutely amazing stuff. It was at a pretty small venue but the place was jam packed and I was pouring sweat. There was headbanging, horns and fists in the air and plastic swords. I even got to buy a shirt.*bang*

It was the first date of their tour so we had a few funny moments. They were recording the whole thing so they got us all to start jumping and all that. I even got to share a beer with one of the guitarists.*crazy* And being a power metal band there were loads of people in the crowd had plastic swords with them. Someone with an axe was getting to try and paly the guitars with it.

My sis took some photos which I'm taking in to process today. Maybe I'll get her to scan a few in and put up here.:D

Yeah it was totally amazing. Really, Sam one of the guitarists had bottles of beer on stage with him to drink so he'd give them to the crowd and we got it which was cool.
Their keyboarist Vadim played a great solo on the first break he was pretty amazing, the drummer did a solo later on too. But the band were great, they'd sold the whole place out so that was also a bonus to have it jam packed. Herman and Sam were great, a lot of fun to watch, they used plastic axes from the crowd as guitar picks a few times which was quite hilarious. The singer ZP came round the front holding the mic out so I was yelling into that. My voice is a bit hoarse with all the singing, cheering and shouting but I had a lot of fun and for our first signed gig it was brilliant and I'm sure I'll remember it for being such a cool first one.
My friend who isn't a metal fan enjoyed it, oddly she really liked the support band which was odd as their vocalist he was shouting/roaring a lot in the songs.
But yeah we had an awesome time and the band seemed to have a great time. The crowd was so cool and really gave them the welcome they deserve.

You lucky bastard! Dagonforce rule. I hope they come to New Zealand, i'll have to check.

It would be nice but I know not a lot of bands do go to Australia and New Zealand. I know they went to Taiwan and Japan so you might be lucky if they decide to go further abroad, still they do have videos on their site of gigs, maybe the one that Ninja and I went to will be there soon? But it's not the same I know.
But if they keep on doing well and selling out venues then maybe they will one day? If not send yourself in a box and we'll take you the next time they tour!

Awww, too kind :D. I'll have to consider it. I haven't been to scotland for too many years, not since I was three or four. Until then, i'll have to save up and go to Big Day Out.
