I know JDoom supports A3D for audio. My question is how do you use it?

is it automatic or does a command-line perameter have to be defined?

I have the A2D 3.12 drivers installed for my SB Live! and a copy of the a3dapi.dll is in the doomsday/bin folder. What do I do next?

Active the "3D Sound" fonction in the "control panel" of doomsday ;)

Ah! Thanks. I thought that was only for EAX extensions. :)

You also have to put -a3d in the command line box under the misc tab.

I do that and I get

Sfx_Init: Initializing A3D...
Sfx_Init: Driver init failed. Sfx is disabled.

Sound Card: Hercules Fortissimo III 7.1
I know A3D works in tribes2 and other games that use it for me.

I think that card only has A3D 1.0.

I think that card only has A3D 1.0.
And JDoom doesn't support that? *what*

Edit: Isn't Dommsday's A3D support only version 6 or higher??

There's only A3D 1.0, 2.0, and soon, 3.0. I would *think* that Jdoom would support both. Maybe I'm wrong

I hate EAX on Jdoom. Sometimes it makes these high pitched noises during certain sounds when it's enabled

Man I love the EAX on JDoom, it sounds awesome! Never experienced any glitches with it whatsoever.
