Multiplayer Modes?

I have a few questions about Skulltag and jDoom multplayer modes.

1) Why Isn't there many people on the jDoom multiplayer mode.
2) Same question about Skulltag.

That's about all the questions I have. Sorry if they sound a little stupid. This is the first time I tried the multiplayer modes on both of them.

Oh, and what is the best Multiplayer Mode port out there? Or, which one has the most people?

JDoom doesn't have a very good multiplayer mode... Although I've heard that Skulltag was good. I haven't tried it yet, but Doom Connector is supposed to be good too. Go search for that.

I think it is to do with all the modding because when I try to joun other people's games and I am sent straight back to the desktop :S

I think doomsday version 1.8.2 can see doomsday 1.8.1 games and the otherway around. im thinking thats causes it
