View Full Version : Doom2 retexturing project with Doom1/2 -textures wad

I have a level that uses doom1/2 textures. When I downloaded Doom2 retexturing project textures, only about half of the Doom2 textures show in that level, rest that work in other levels don't show and are left original. Whats the problem?

1st dont use the doom2retexturing project textures.
wait for the jdtp
2nd there are probably some textures that wernt made hi-res

Dday by default, doesn't use hi-res textures on any texture(s) it finds in a pwad with the same name as one in the Iwad being loaded, incase the identically named texture in the pwad has a different appearance to the original.
Though this behaviour can be disabled by adding "-Pwadtex" to the command line.
And also as MS says the Doom2 retexturing project and also the JDTP aren't complete yet.

Actually go get the D2Retex. It'll make the wait for the jDTP much less tedious.

w.ak is setting up a simple download script so chilv can upload the jdtp to jfiles. so i would wait

Unless the wait is a matter of days/hours I would like to have something to make it less painful.

Yea, I'm waiting for the jdtp alright, but I decided to kill the waiting time with Doom2rtp. I'll try the command line option Vermil told and see if it works...
