Well I got to doing a bit of work on my map tonight. All I have left is to figure out what to put behind the yellow door to finish the level, add monsters, and weapons, ammo, and such. But here are some screenshots of what I have so far. Hope you like it.

The pics look good. In pic 4, however, the transition from tech-base style to hellish is too obvious. I'm not sure how you can do anything differently, though.

Looks pretty good. I totally lost track of whats going on. I assume Sparky got it all figured out tho.

well. not much has happened here in the last few weeks
we have all been busy on vacation and stuff
thats my best excuss :p
seriosuly tho. ill go trhough and see what needs to be updated
im not the only one that hasent been keeping track you know
the site hasent been updated since the begining of march *rofl*

there is a deadline i think it was for mid november
wre gunna try and get it done then but if we dont that doesnt mean we stop developing it :)
like iv said before its up to ALL of the mappers of this project. its your job to make and effort and contribuite to finishing of the project

Then mid-November is not technically a "deadline", just a suggested date. This leaves me with little enthusiasm to continue work on Map24. Alternatively, I may withdraw the map from the NDCP and release it on my own. A project that continues indefinitely can't provide a lot of encouragement to its members.

it is a deadline and not a suggested date. i do want to see all maps done by then
i uust ment we will just see what happends afterwards. and that could mean anything from cancelling the project to extending the date. if people need more time ill give it to them
you guys just worry about your own maps
ReX, your a valualed member and we would hate to see you leave over something like this

Just A Quick Update: After taking over a month off of real mapping, I did some work on my NDCP map. Actually a lot of work. It is almost complete. I still need to add the monsters in the final room, do weapon and ammo placement, maybe some more detail to the last room and the big secret room, and then it'll be ready for testing. Since I have all the other monsters in place, ammo and weapon placement won't be too hard to do. And i have a few Ideas about the monsters in the final room. So it shouldn't be too long if I keep mapping.

Alright here is a version for everyone to test. I'm sure there are probably some issues, as I just finished i about 5 minutes ago. This is what I did this morning, which is surprising as I haven't been really mapping in a while. It has the usual password.

Looking nice. I might recommend making the BFG/Invulnerability secret harder to find, because it made a once-challenging area easy (especially if you are quick and can kill the archie with invulnerability still active).
The lowering floor after the yellow key door has no bottom texture, and the switch texture for the same floor should be indented into the wall a bit, as it tiles all the way down the floor. I ran out of ammo at the end (UV), forcing me to punch the Archie a few times. The berserk at the end is a good idea however.

alright, I fixed all that.
1)I didn't change the actual bfg/invuleverbility secret, I just moved the red key to the outside area(so monster will keep you from getting to it as quick) and made it so you couldn't get into the secret until after a certain point in the game.
2)I fixed the textures inside the yellow key door
3)I also added some ammo inside the yellow key door to help you get by, but I want you to finish with the beserk.
I'll update the download in just a second, i just have to re-upload it.

alright since no one else appears is going to test, i just did a run-through in 3D mode with Doom Builder, finished texture alignments, and fixed anything I saw. So consider the level done. Download here (http://zephyr.doomrepublic.com/files/ndcp16.zip) with the usual password. And I leave you witht he final screenie, Unfortunaly some areas can't be seen cuz they are so dark, so don't think this is the entire map.
