Help on Plasma inductor plz..

I need help to find out if I am on the right track or have missed the plot.
My mission goal is to retrieve the Plasma Inductor from the Operations sector server room,
So I can get the transporter to work.

Now I think I have found it but can?t get to it.
I think it is in a lit D type section where all the computers are with a marine half hanging out of the kiosk window to the right,
He is lying on a big box, and it has other stuff in as well. My problem is I can?t get into the kiosk to get the stuff. I have tried jumping, crawling, moving a box under the marine and jumping on that, crawling from that over the marine etc, but my way is always barred by the metal bars of the little room top and bottom. I also tried blasting the windows out and that destroyed the marine but I still cannot get in.

Am I in the right place? Do I need to get in? if so is it just me or is how do I do it?

I have not had a problem jumping and crawling in the rest of the game, so it?s slowly doing my head now, especially if I am in the wrong place.

I remember backtracking from the teleporter room towards the elevator and spotted the inductor sitting on an open cabinet. It took me a while to find the damn thing, but it's barely hidden and definitely not in that closed space you're talking about.

it's in one of the things that looks like a fusebox in the room with only one door.

i know exactly what room youre talking about. they're all right, the plasma thinger isnt in there, but you get in there by punching, or otherwise moving the box on the ground from one side of the room to the other. then jump onto the box and into the broken window.

at least... it worked for me...
