Hi guys,
Very hard to find the right place for this thread (let's hope that Other Source Ports is fine).
The same engine (ShockWave) for 2 games: DOOM 2 and HERETIC
I need your opinion: who's looking better and should be continued ?
http://necromanthus.com/Games/ShockWave/doom.html
http://necromanthus.com/Games/ShockWave/heretic.html

note: ShockWave 3D engine isn't so powerfull,so for HERETIC the minimum requirements are: 1.4GHz processor, 256MB RAM and 64MB Vcard (GF4MX440 or Radeon 9000)

p.s.
two new updates are comming soon (this month).
cheers

Hey, that's great! Good work there! *thumbs*
And I just played Heretic on a P3 533 with 256 MB ram and an ATI Mobility M4 (Rage 128 PRO). A little slow, but working good!

Thanks for sharing this information.
Anyway, for ShockWave 3D engine the processor is very important, but P3 (even at 533MHz) was a great piece of work.

Hi to all DOOM freaks,

Next month I intend to port DOOM Reloaded (http://necromanthus.com/Games/ShockWave/doom.html) on the new Hopeless - The Prison (http://necromanthus.com/Games/ShockWave/hopeless.html) game engine.
Plus hostile IMP, the 3rd enemy and the 4th weapon (the rocket launcher).
I hope you'll like it.

cheers

Glad to hear. Thanks.
On Hopeless (http://necromanthus.com/Games/ShockWave/hopeless.html)'s game engine, DOOM Reloaded (http://necromanthus.com/Games/ShockWave/doom.html) is gonna rock (even on obsolete machines).
Also, a new map (much bigger) is already prepared.

like DOOM only, not HERETIC. It's weird. But nice.

Geeze, it tried to install Shockwave, didn't worked (it says "For 95/NT users, go to ... site"... Wtf, I got XP). I tried to download the latest version. Doesn't work. Now I try to play it and it says its downloading but nothing ever happen.

No offense to you I'm sure what you've done is nice, but Shockwave is crap...

Huh!? *squint* I have XP and Shockwave is fine.

I'm so sorry, jake250. I hate that you have problem with it... *ugh*

But that game is not much fun and enjoy, not like classic DOOM...

Just download the Shockwave full installer (Windows 98/2000/XP):

Take care and download the proper version (MSIE, FireFox, etc)
