I was put a preview version of my weapon pack on my site :)
for discover it : click in the Doomcity logo in my sign ;)

Yea, i want replace the plasmagun by a complete sniper with a zoom system and i need put fast the plasmashot
I can't do this with the original jDoom.dll :( so i was search for make an addon like zoow ;)

Yes, this update make just the pack compatible with the jDRP. The weapon are not changed

Hey Xerxes I have a question about your weapon pack. When I play jdoom with chebs model pack the chaingun is suspended in mid air-Why?, why doesnt it look like the m-16?
It still looks like a chain gun. Maybe you just havent finished the pack yet. Just to let ya know. thanx

I understood that you had problems of animations between my weapons and the pack of Cheb's
If it is the case, it is normal, I am not optimized my pack of weapon for the pack of cheb's and i can't do this because i can't block the cheb's weapon without modify the cheb's pack *bug*

ok thanx xerxes. You see the JDRP1.01 by dani j I get the cyan blood instead of red so what I did was use chebs models with other hi res face skins for the md2's, and chiv's soldier model. Along with the stickeyblood ded and bloody ded that make the blood last forever. it looks pretty cool. but I get that error of cyan blood instad of red. Iv'e tried using other patches but it doesn't work. Any ideas or do you have or know of a ded, pk3, or anything that can make the blood red? It just gets on my nerves after playing for awhile. *confused*

I never had this problem, but a patch available in a thread at "Technical Support"

I think it has somethig to do with my grapics card being to old. *bawl* I have an intel 82815 with a pentium 3 processor. It's really no big deal. thats actually the only weapon that doesn't work, every other one looks great! It actually my favorite pack to use. Especially the super shotgun *diablo* I dont think ive actually tried the patch your talking about so i will. Ill let you know if it works.

I was found only one patch for correct this bug and you found it
The patch don't work for all old graphic card :( If they don't work, you'r blocked here
And i've search for desactivate the blood in the jDRP ; it's impossible without remake the ded file, So remake a pack

Hey xerxes!!!!! *laugh* It wasn't chebs models it was the abbs pack v3 that was screwing it up. so ill just install your pack and im good to go!!!!!! Awesome *laugh*

I've just tested my weapon pack with the lasted version of Cheb's model pack
My weapon work perfectly with the cheb's pack ; They are any problem :)
The animations work perfectly because cheb's was make his ded file like me ;)
If you got problem with cyan blood with a pack ; You just need found, in the ded files of the pack, the blood particle definition and delete it

It actually was a glitch between your weapon pack and chilvers' soldier skin I was using. *bawl* it took me an hour to figure out what was happening. Oh well guess i will have a harder time making my md2's more high detail

I was update the weapon pack
The grenade and the sniper was improved but not finished
And i was put a reload animation in all the weapon for more realistic

You could change the action attached in the firing state to call the pistol fire action instead, that might work.

Yes, i've try with the A_FirePistol flag but they not enought power (like said primus1236 :D)
So i need put a lot of STATE with a tics at 0
But they make a lot of trouble (sound ; bug (need too more) ; ...)
So, i continu to search a solution...:)
i've missing to say that they are a Zoom with the button3 of the mouse ;)

The last b�ta version of my weapon Pack are available
Now, the reload animation, the grenade and the scope of the sniper are finish :)
They just wanted to correct the problem with the shot of the sniper :P

I tried downloading with Firefox and got the same .exe issue. The exe, when run, opens a command prompt for half a second, then closes

I think you should make a new jdoom.dll that way you could also add reloading so it makes it more realistic.

the problem is that I don't want to create new dll so that the sniper can be use with any other patch
And to show that it is not the whole necessary time to create the whole time again dll because I have succeeded has make the scope without dll whereas of numerous person was already ready to create one of it :)
if i found a way for the shot, I would win this bet :D
you have notice probably that when the scope is activated, it is not simple to aim because it's not precise enough
Correct this problem is very simple, I would make it in the next version

they are a sniper in this weapon pack with a zoom (can be activate with the button 3 of the mouse)
He need a small improvement for be more precise
but the last stuff that i need make is the shot for the sniper. After the sniper are OK and I go so maybe make special map for sniper battle like the one at MOHAA

Xerxes, this is absolutely fantastic!
Who knew jDoom was capable of that, I mean, wow! I love the sniper zooming script. And I don't know if this was in beta 2 or not, but the grenade is awsome. If only jDoom had physics support capable of making it bounce around.

Atm you can break the zoomin/out if you change weapon at the wrong time. Also if you change to the sniper automatically (ie not by pressing 6) the zoom in/out doesn't work.

the first bug is simple to be correct *giddy*
but the second is THE problem because some people use the well of the mouse for change the weapon
but i've an idea for correct that *dark*
if you have only two button, open the *.pk3 and edit the run/jdoom/autoexec.cfg file and replace alle the +MB3 by +MB2 for use the button 2 of your mouse ;)

no, you open the data/jdoom/WeaponPack.pk3 file with winrar or winzip (pk3 is a zip file without compression)
And in the pk3, you open with a program like notepad the file run/jDoom/autoexec.cfg
and you juste need replace all the +MB3 by +MB2 ;)

Hmm, Xerxes, it worked. It zoomed but I think it's flawed. When you zoom the screen turns all white and you can't see a thing, pressing 6 (the plasma rifle key) clears it up but sometimes it goes back to normal view. Is this fixable?
Dispite the fact how cool the sniper rifle is it's rediculously overpowered, it can gibify a zombie in one shot.

if you have a white screen, that means that the picture of the scope disappeared when you have modify the pk3
The goal of a sniper is to be able to kill his enemy suddenly from afar :)
Tomorrow I will put has disposition the version 1.0 of this pack (that I would rename in sniperpack) and it will be the button 2 that will be use
it is necessary for you to simple wait Joel ;)

Using the multi-A_firepistol method, I was able to shoot the sniper the distance from the player to the door in the picture below

but it wasn't a negative. I just did that to show the contrast a bit better. And also apperantly screenshots don't work properly using that infine script, but it looked fullscreen ingame. :)

yes, i have already done this for the v1.0 until I find a solution for the plasma shot
because the problem with the fire_pistol is that the bullet doesn't go far. If the distance raise too, the bullet disappears :(
your map look cool *thumbs*
EDIT : in the version 1.0, you will have the possibility to enlarge or to reduce the zoom

Very nice Xerxes. :) I love the new gun.
Are you able to think of any way to make the guns reload only after using so many bullets? I thought about it for a bit and the only thing I could think of was perhaps some sort of a script that would give you ammo and a limit on the clip bringing it down to mabye 20 bullets. I'm not quite sure how this would work but do you think it's workable?

I'm sure he did.
It seems that by the time anyone figures out exactly how to modify weapons the way you and I seek to, Doomsday 2.0 will be out with new scripting anyway. :p Hopefully we can figure out some secret before that, though not one idea comes to my mind. :(
