I was playing around and started doing some cell shading on the models.

The table looks bad to me, anyone got any tips?

Tables fine to me, what more could you ask from a flat shaded table?

Its a nice effect, keep practicing it :)

id like to make more food on the crappy plate, a cup,light the candle with a partial flame, and animate a rotateing view of it or something like that. maybe some forks and spoons too. i know you do textureing Chilvence, do you got any old metal textures you dont want?

I cant think of anything that'd suit that purpose. I find alot of the stuff I need from google images though, look for a photo, chop it up, level the brightness and tile it... or I do it from my own photographs. Anything can be used as a base.

Why do you need a texture though, its cell shaded ;)

Offset + Clone brush

Go practice now, its the most important thing you can learn :)

yes, if you look at the candle post its the same model. i want to make an animation of it rotateing around it

add some lighting effects, that will help.
and if your using 3ds max, download finaltoon from a p2p program

ok ill look around for it. im still learning but i think i can figure out lighting effects.

You can get g max off some site jsut search for it. youc an get the full version online, but its not cheap. This is about my 4th model and trust me its crap. its just a cone witha twisted box on it with a cylender and another cone for the candle. the table is even easier its just a flat bot with some boxes for legs. the cell shadeing was done jsut by changeing the settings a bit and it did it by itself. you want good models then go check out dani's in the jdrp section of doomsday
