I have looked that many times with no luck at all. Only thing I have found was q-tip and it's not free, so it's not good then, unless you want to pay for it... Don't know if it works in v6, but it works in v5.

Q-tip is what I use. I use it often enough to warrant paying for it so I did.

Okay, but you use the version 6 DaniJ ???

qtip works for v 6.0 3ds

I think im going to make a little blurb on how to convert from 3ds to md2 correctly since there is very little information about doing it unless u use a 3rd rate program like milkshape or something.

I actually think that there is'nt a limit on polycount for md2, it's just a format really.

KuriKai

I get an error 403 when clicking your link.

I have really been looking for a good MD2 plugin, so if you could repost the file or something I would appreciate it! *thumbs*

you have a error because I had destroyed the file
I would like to hand it to you but I have some worry with my hoster and I can bring back them to you
It will be necessary to wait that I recover the control of my site

Oh I see...

If it is possible for you to mail it to me, I can put it on my site. Could be so nice to get that plugin!

I have sent you a PM with my e-mail address.

It would be REALLY nice if descrete would get with it and learn that games dont use their format. They NEED to have the abilty to save it as differnt formats. Doesnt matter so much for me, i suck too much to make a game model (or even an animated model)

Gravel-Pit

Discrete's format if perfect, for what it needs to do (Model and Animate for movies and tv and games)
Game formats are infearior to it.
Also they do have something for games. It's called Gmax

Caden

Its not the format i hate, its that the games dont use it. Gmax has teh same format options...

eh milkshape isnt a 3rd rate program its awesome for modelling i have used it for well over a year and never had any problemms with it not to mention 3ds max is like 200 megs

hate to disagree but if you've used something like Maya or 3DSMAX then Milkshape is awful. There are far better options out there in the entry price bracket than Milkshape.

thats fine with me everyone has opinions

Lol, i tried milkshape and didnt care for it. 3ds max is really easy to use :D

I even find Blender easier than Milkshape.

I am being 100 percent honest when I say this, I prefer q2mdl ( Quake 2 modeler ) to milkshape. Really. This is not meant as an offense.

Its just that every other moddeling program has AWFUL CONTROLS. Ahem.
