This is a door I made in milkshape and I have animated it so it slides open and closes
Unfortunately I have been careless and it has about 4000 polys!!

tell me what you think, I was hoping I could get it in jDoom. Does anyone know of a freeware polygon reducer that can read MS3D files? I really need one!!!

Looks pretty cool dude. I'd love to see it when it's complete. *wave*

Well it is sort of complete at around 4000 un needed polys and animated but for some reason I can't export it to md2 properly :( so when I open md2 viewer there is nothing there :(

EDIT: I can now export it to md2 but somehow it makes the buttons dissappear... maybe it doesnt like the polycount because it's just over 2000. I wish ultimate unwrap 3d
was free :(

uhm, this thing could easily be made under 2000 polys you know.
You should really, really start reading some tutorials or get some help about poly-by-poly modeling (the best and mostly only way to model in milkshape).

Like I said, there isnt much more options with milkshape. There is box modeling, but its much more sloppy and poly wastage than for example 3dsmax (edge extrudtion and other stuff).
Poly by poly is a good way learning anyway.

I'll try poly by poly modeling today probably ;)
