i dont really think there is much music in doom, or at least i dont pay attention to it. all you hear are hydraulic pumps and monster's screams :)

once in a while there's 'musical' ambience... some of them are just loops of machine-like humming.. thuds.. sometimes its more musical. I really don't mind, but I would give my left breasticle to have heard what Trent Reznor was cooking up before he split from the project.

i like how it gets tense, and if youre an old skool doomy, you know exactly when it feels like it should be getting tense... all of a sudden the music comes in pounding techno, very minimal though, and you think to yourself "oh jesus. what the hell is going on?" then you take two steps and find out...
