Weird problem level problem with Doom3.

I have a really weird problem with my copy of Doom 3. My mates runs fine but when i get to the elevator going up to the administration(level3) my copy starts loading admin up then goes to the main menu without a choice to select continue. I only have the load game, new game etc. Can someone tell me why the hell it doesn't work?
Specs
Nvidia GeForce 4 Ti4200 Graphics card (set on low graphics on Doom 3)
512 DDR Ram
AMD Athlon XP 1900+ Processor

Well this about sucks the only other person than me having the same exact problem and no one can help!

Try loading the admin map via the console then if it loads the main menu up again, use the command dumpconsole (if i am correct) to see what went wrong

ok it loads fine that way but i feel like i have just cheated in this game the error was an unexpected response...
