How well will this comp fun it?

radeon 9800 128 mb pro.

How well and what are the limits until the game starts getting choppy?

You shouldn't be asking that question.

800x600, medium detail, 30-60 FPS.

I'm running at 2.5 oc'd p4 and a 9600xt with 1164x864 or whatever it is...and a gig of ram and get 20-60 fps and it only stutters at weird points...very playable and looks great you will be fine...check out my post about a server

Thanks alot for the input. Another question, what if instead of the radeon it was a geforce 4 mx 420, how much dif would it be?

I won't bore you with the techincal difference (only 2 pipes, 128bit memory bus on SDR, no shaders) but it would make a huge differnce.

OK dude. Make sure your paging file is at an acceptable size, and either turn your anti-aliasing to 8x-16x, or your resolution to 1280x1024. Then, high quality will do good, and only at the most demanding points will it get weird. Maybe Ultra for you, I don't know. I only get crappy high with my radeon 9500 pro. :(

Oh yeah im guessing a 420 is worse than 440, and basically the Geforce 4 MX 440 is just a hyped up version of a Gerforce 2, which sux. I know, my old card was a 440.
