set console to "~" isntead of "ctrl+alt+~"

for those of you who like to use the console in game and hate having to shoot in order to use the console, to change it to the tilde key type "com_allowConsole 1" in the console itself while playing doom or in the menu screen. to make this easier try binding this to an unused key, for instance type
bind p "com_allowConsole 1" (with quotes)
thats what i did. now all i have to do is hit p and then i can use the tilde key for console. and whatever you do, DONT, DO NOT CHANGE THE 0 VALUE FOR SETA IMAGE_USECACHE TO 1 IN THE DOOMCONFIG.CFG!!!!! DONT DO IT IT WILL CRASH DOOM 3 EVERY TIME!!!!

I Did? I'm getting all my info strait from the game docs and some from links I posted. :P I did the same thing yesterday and it wouldn't even start... I didn't mention it because it is 0 by default and it didn't crash. I haven't look into any further. Anyone get the Demo thing working yet?

Those are some useful docs. I still don't know what half of the Q3 commands do.*sulk* Well you have to increase image_CacheMinK (20480 seems to be the favorite setting) to stop it from crashing. At this rate I'm going to be an expert and I don't even own the game. *monkey*
