console on uk keyboard

hey im running the us version of doom on a uk keyboard and i cant get the console up, a few other sites said to press the ~ button but this doesnt work. ive tried pressing all the keys and i still cant find that damn console. any help would be cool

You can edit your Doom 3 shortcut on your desktop so that it says:
"[your doom3 directory]\Doom3.exe" +seta com_allowconsole 1
Then just press ~ to get it to open up...

Or you can edit the .cfg with the: com_allowConsole 1... so just find that line and change the number to 1 from the 0..... I can't test this as I don't have the game. I just sucked the info off of 2 other forums. hahaha
