Wait for the demo to come out, then try that before buying the full game

Well i have the game... lol. I have it on medium and it lags but I wanan get it up to high. I have that grahpics card and the 768 ram... but i have a crappy 1.5 ghz processor. If i get a 3.0 would I be able to?

Yes, a faster CPU would help a lot. 3ghz sounds good if your mobo can handle it.

Why are you asking if you can play it? You OWN it, pop it in and see. I ran it on mine on low because it lagged on medium and i dont have about half as much ram as you

Grab the Omegadrivers (http://www.omegadrivers.net) and see if you can mod your 9800SE into a 9800 (you'll see artifacts if the extra pipes don't work). If you can you should be able to handle high quality at 1024x768.

Geez Undertaker that's 2 people you've told about the Omega Drivers. Yes they are a big help.

Which ever setting you happen to like it on! It's not like you only get to try it once. Sheesh!
Congrats on tacking that to a three-year-old thread. :p

... Theres an 8300GS? I though the 8400 was already useless enough. Well, since you are on Vista, run it on low. Then again an 8300 wouldn't be capable of much more on XP either.
Hooray for thread revival. >_>

Sigh. thetiger39, please read the Forum FAQ (http://forums.newdoom.com/faq.php?faq=forum_rules#faq_thread_resurrex). That's where the rules are, so you won't go wrong in the future.Thread Resurrection / Bumping
Digging up an old, dead thread is a no-no. Leave the past in the past. But you can link to it in a new relevant discussion that's taking place.
Also, DON'T bump a thread. 'nuff said.
