Hi,

Basically a while ago I noticed there was this Wolf 3D conversion for Doom II. Does anyone know if there's a conversion that uses the new hi-res sprites from the Mac version of Wolf 3D? I know the monsters only have the front version of the sprites visible, but the Mugshot and weapons sprites are all totally useable as replacements for the original PC ones.

Maybe I'll do it myself, if I can find somewhere to get the bloody impossible to find Wolf 3D for the Mac, and some kind of utility to get the sprites out of it...

I believe at least one of the Mac Wolf games is now abandonware/freeware. Though since I'm not 100% sure I'm not going to search for and post any links!

I would be very interested in the Mac Wolf sprites if you are successfull and would be willing to share them.

Awesome.

Yeah, I never actually had Wolf 3D on the mac, but I had it on my 3d0, and I'm pretty sure the two had identical graphics/ sound /music. I was figuring it would be easier to find the mac version than the 3d0 version, that's why I asked about it.

Man, the music in the 3d0/ Mac version was awesome, though. As was the chaingun... the best chaingun I have ever seen in a videogame. In fact, it would look pretty damned cool as a replacement for the Doom one, really.

Cheers!
