I cant start my doom 3and cant understand why

i tried it on both my computers:
1. P4 2600 FSB 533/400MHz
Msi 6760 mobo with SiS® 651 • SiS® 962 chipset
512 DDR RAM
Leadtek's WinFast A280 GeForce4 Ti 4200, With AGP8X 128 DDR
runing Win XP with all the latest drivers (DX 9C,DET61.77)
2. Amd 2500 FSB 333
Gigabyte GA7-VAXP KT400
512 DDR
GeForce 3 TI 200 128 DDR
runing Win XP with all the latest drivers (DX 9b,DET61.77)
in both these computers the game crash in the opening sequence (ID VIDEO). when i press ESC and skip the video i get to the game menu but when i try new game the game load (in the LOADING screen) for 10 sec and gets back to the game menu.

i tried manual install and updating all the drivers
but nothing seems to help.

can you please help????

thats interesting that you had the same problem with both computers. i cant think of a reason why it wouldnt let you start a new game. but then im having that same problem with a game called "Apocalyptica". the only thing i can suggest is posting at the activision support and try to get a helpful response there. maybe you should try not skipping the Id video, i mean i do but that might be your problem.

Curious.... Do both comps run everything off a DVD drive?
