im pretty sure it worked for me. i think it also helps if you go further down the list and change the anisotropy from 8 to 0

It probably eats up all your physical memory (actually faster than RAM) and drains the hard drive. So if you have a big hard drive, set the cache to whatever you want.

I did this:

seta image_cacheMegs "20"

I changed 20 to 2000. (2gig)

Somewhat off topic, but does anyone know how to check ur VRAM? i know i have a radeon 9200 but dunno how much memory it has...

go to run and type in "dxdiag" without the quotes. when its done loading up, click on the display tab and theres your video card specs
