Technical difficulties

So far- the beginning of the game went really smoothly. Now that I am in I think the administrative area, I have had frequent crashes. No error, just right back to the desktop. The last time, my entire computer froze, couldn't get on it with remote desktop. And I dont think anything is overheating. I'm not seeing any visual glitches, and the cpu temperature is where it should be. Also haven't had any other games do this.

I've also noticed, and this may have something to do with my cdrom drive, that after a crash, the game won't always load right back up. I'll click the icon, the logo will come up, and nothing. Sometimes it takes 2-3 tries. Then it'll just start up normally. I actually had it once go all the way to the menu and back to the desktop.

Before any of this happened I was saying to myself, hey this is really stable. :)

Just for lack of anything else, try the Manual install.... I'm running a 5200FX 256 meg and it plays great.... I did have some problems closing out when I had the vertical refresh on.... Try shutting down to your lowest/mid settings and work up adding one thing at a time in the advanced menu. I had some Red and Blue pixels splatering down the monitor and after I dropped everthing, added each setting one by one, I have had no trouble.
