Sorry to post here in "General" but i see this room gets alot of exposure.

I just got back from Best Buy with my purchase and finished installing the game. Now when i attempt to play, i get this error:

[Cannot locate DOOM 3 Disk 1

CD/DVD emulation sortware has been detected.
Please disable all CD/DVD emulation software and restart the game.]

WTF?? I don't even have any DVD shit on this computer, not even a DVD drive. Nothing is running in the background except my Virus software and Firewall. The only thing i can think of as being a possible fix is a "No CD Key" .exe. I would really like to know what is causing this. Shit man, i wanna play !!

Um...do u perhaps have Alcohol 120% installed. Alcohol puts a virtual drive on your computer so that u can mount cd images on to it. If you do, disable the virtual drive for the time being.

Found problem. It was "Clone CD". I just uninstalled it and everything is golden. One other question though. Anyone know of a "No CD .exe"? If you guys consider that warez, i appoligize in advance. I just find installing a CD in the tray everytime i wanna play a game a pain in the arse.

That's why you:

A) Switch over to the console version.

B) Wait until Microsoft's next OS comes out, which automatically runs the game, or:

C) Get a DISCover or an APExtreme.

I know it's a pain in the ass. That's why I'm not a PC gamer.

They tried this shit with Rave Shield 1.5 patch. At least that has a happy ending (1.51 got released a few days later removing it). Is anyone willing to take a stand against id?
