I guess you're using JDoom...

I just hope that the other areas don't have that huge load of blue... it hurts the eyes...

Don't worry It's only a pic of one corridor and staircase ;)

Looks pretty good so far. It reminds me (a little bit) of Unreal.

Speaking of artwork, you guys got some awsome sigs and avatars. I better get off of my ass and keep up with the jones'. "Hey Harry", how is that descent into hell map going? Any new screenshots? Hey Falci you must have heard of Royce Gracie. He is one of my idols. I love Sepultura too. It is too bad that Max left the band for Soulfly.

I understand the feeling. I'm all pooped out on the Doom3 level I was working on. It is hard to find time to edit.

It will be finnished veeeerrryy soon, I just need to put ALOT of detail into it and pickups as it is quite hard (for me that is)

Just doombuilder because none other editors work, not even wintex so I cant have custom textures, just custom defs, sounds and music.

Have you tried using xwe? It is easy to use.

Harry

xwe doesn't work either :( I don't mind though...
I wonder if doom builder will get support for making texture wads anytime.

Harry, xwe does work. I used it to get all of my textures into my wads. Is it that you dislike the editor or you have trouble importing textures with it.

Xwe won't work if you are running doombuilder at the same time. Xwe cannot alter the wad while doombuilder is trying to do it to.

I try to run it and it comes up with a load of error messages and then doesn't load my wad, it just stays on the loading icon.
but I don't try to run it with doom builder on at the same time.

What do the error messages say?

It looks kind of bland and low-detail to me. The blue looks nice, but the architecture looks way too basic.

Looks nice Harry, stick some good ambushes in there and it would work fine. :)

eh, the dynamic lighting is all this map has going for it. definately needs some work in the architechture area. hopefully the entire map isn't that bland. i prefer running in software mode myself, so unless it can't run under anything than gl, that's what i'll play it using :)

Dude, in case you haven't noticed, that is just a picture of a CORRIDOR. In real life, let alone Doom, a corridor wouldn't have very interesting architecture. Besides, he said he was putting in more architectural detail.

So when's it gonna be done?

So when's it gonna be done?Since when has Doom ever tried to look like real life? And in case you haven't noticed, since one of the goals of a map is to have at least decent aesthetics there is many doom maps where CORRIDORS have interesting designs. At the end of the day, any map made for Doom these days is a modern Doom map - and expectations of architectural detail are higher than in '95.
