I'm currently making, with the approval given by Gwin, a Legacy conversion of the fabulous megawad "Vile Flesh"
What does that mean?
- True 3D bridges
- 3D water and 3D lava
- 3D floors (normal and transparent floors, Invisible 3D floors)
- OpenGl lightings
- and so on... But: no scripting!
Stay tune!

Thats a cool Megawad. I didn't quite finish it but I recommend it when people ask about megawads. :) Luck with the Legacy version Jive. :)

I already made such a work for both of the megawads of the Herian Series, by Ian Wilson, available at DLW.
Why am I saying it? Because what I want to say is that I'm used to do such a work...
Here is the actual result of my work on Map09:

Don't think that you are looking at a well done screenshot of a fired shot...
It's the regular ligthing of the room!!!

Being given that I am in Map17 in 8 days, you can hope to see the release version Legacy of Vile before the end of August.
When I see work that that requires of me, I remain pantois in front of certain megawads like DSV4, made by a man alone with unslung imagination and an apparent unbounded creativity.

"Vile" will be one of the very rare megawads full of the Legacy features.
Look at these ones here:
http://www.wadsinprogress.info/index.php?a=listwads&wad=329

You'll see transparent 3D floor with 3 different superposed textures and solid ground for monsters and objects, transparent 3D elevator near 3D water colored in light blue under the surface and superposed 3D floors.

*wave* *flip* *wacky*

I replaced 2 screenshots: one with yellow dynamic lighting, one with transparent lighted columns.
The far I go within this megawad, the heaviest is my work, as far as the maps are growing in complexity. I made the lastest change of the map22 one hour ago... At the begining, I made 2 maps per day. Now, I need 2 days per map!!!

Some new amazing screnshots on my MSN group, here:

Of course, the principal subject is Vile Flesh...
Actually, I'm embellishing Map23, and Map31 and Map32 are already done, which means that I have still 7 Maps to embellish!!!
As far as I understood nothing about Rellik trick for transparent doors (it don't work on my comput), I made my own tricks (2 different ones), and now, i'm able to build moving fences (up & down) and moving platforms with partially transparent textures, like MIDSPACE.
Look at this one:

The more I go, the best it is... *flip*

Vile Flesh, Map18 (yes, I came back to embellish a tower, which was bugged under OpenGl mode (I missed it when I worked on this map... *eek* )
Of course, this pic is on my MSN group (see above for the link, which is also accessible from DLW's homepage)

Okay, I was wrong when I thought to be able to release it before the end of August...
But...
But you'll don't be disappointed.
I take the time to do my best. I already discovered new tricks for fenced doors, one available for every port, one Legacy specific, and I made OpenGl lightnings.
My MSN area is full of such screenshots!
Here is a cool chair, from Map24:

I'll add some very simple but efficient fragglescripts for the 5 last maps (I stopped my work on VF in order to be able to improve it with new lightings and new ways to obtain awesome effects, and I studied a little bit FraggleScripting. Like that, I'm now able to manipulate coronas and to implement ambiant sounds).
I built a map to demonstrate most of the lightings used for VF, and I have included the dehacked file (so that you'll be able to re-use such a patch) and also the fragglescript for study (very basic, for noobs like me). I'll release it very soon!!!
Stay tuned!

I bypassed the difficulty of Map24 and I won: the FraggleScript is efficient!!! (I keep secret its content)
And now...
here are 3 new screenshots from Map26 (http://tinyurl.com/3spku)
Tomorrow, I'll work on Map27. *munch*

It's a necessity.
In fact, it's a debug/testing time!!! (Gwyn and me made already several changes), even if all is ready for the release.
