Yeah, and in the new trailer (second one, NOT official) you can see that he has the BFG 9000. You don't see it when he shoots, but at least you see it when his holding it ;).

i think the BFG has become a prerequisite for ID games. though in Doom3 they may not refer to it the same way in game, to maintain the realism, even though it probably will still be known as the BFG.

for example, when you get the BFG a scientist may say something to you like "this is an extremely powerful weapon that uses plasma energy to destroy living tissue. in short, it's a big F------ gun!"

*eek* Talking scientists? I don't want anyone to talk to me. I'd kill him the second he opens his mouth... ;) Hey, the BFG is kind of a trademark for Doom, so it will be there, just keep cool! It even found it's way into the Quake series, so they won't drop one of the world's most famous weapons! :)

Yes, the BFG does get shot in the G4 video. It looks fantastic. But did you notice that not only did it mop the floor with the guy it was aimed at, but it also blew up the barrel in a nook in the wall on the left? The exploding barrels are back!

yep the bfg is in the game..

and only in the single player portion

they chose not to put the bfg in the mp maps

well there are people who hate having the BFG in MP, but thats jsut the id maps. some people may make there own maps with the BFG in them.

yes, ok, but there are some pretty cool things on planetdoom. they have almost all the weapons, enemies, items, etc., but yea ok. i understand ;)
