It seems that my VPU is getting a little too hot to function very well. Anybody got any suggestions for how I could cool it down some? Im on a tight budget, so nothing fancy like "Liquid Hydrogen coolant channels" or silly stuff like that. Thanx for your help, guys.

One of those pci slot fans should do the trick, quite cheap too.

Little cheaper way is to go to radio shack and pick up a small fan for about $10.95, It would help if the card has a heat sink already, If not then what planky said would be the best option.

Congrats Looney. ;)
doomdiz can you take the card back? Is it under warranty? Id take it back if I could.... My bro had a VooDoo 5 a few years ago that died and when he took it back he ended up getting a Radeon 7000 out of the buggers. Ended up he had a 3 year warranty on the thing out-of-the box. Usually cards have a good manufactures warranty. I hope you have your receipt.

He's just using the right term. That card is probably based on a Voodoo or TNT chipset which lacks TnL which does not qualify it to be a GPU according to Nvidia's defintion (http://www.nvidia.com/object/gpu.html).

It is indeed a TNT chipset.....TNT2 i believe

voodoo cards still have good driver support, hell, they got temporal AA (SP?) working and they are also getting EdgeAA on voodoo 3 cards. The hardware is outmodded though.
