View Full Version : PK3 & WAD load limits MUST be increased...

I'm not sure if here's the better place to post this, but... *owell*

I suggest to increase (if possible) that damned limit to load PK3 and WAD files. Nowadays, with all these wonderful stuff for DoomsDay it has become a little problem which can turns HUGE as new improvements are developed for the packs.

For now, I'm using all these:

jDRP +
Abbs Alternative Weapons Pack +
Abbs Alternative Models (I've modified its DEDs to load only a few of them, because those of jDRP are usually better) +
jDEP +
jDUI beta +
Sycraft's Soundtrack +
Sambo's Soundpack +
jDTPs (all of them) +
HudFace replacements (look at jDTP thread or www.jdql.tk for this one)

With all enabled I'm already having problems with jDRP weapons' pickup models; of course, they're loaded after all the others as their names begin with 'W-' and whenever I try to load a PWAD, only the BFG9000 and ChainGun are loaded... *squint*

If anyone thinks that this post should be in another place, just tell me and I'll move it. Thanks!! :)

That's becayse the Abbs weapons pack is conflicting with the jDRP, try and mess around with the jDRP deds for example;)

Nah! That's impossible, Wicked Anime Kid. Just to show it for thee: My problems persist EVEN with the Abbs Alternative Weapons Pack & Abbs Alternative Models DISABLED. Only I need is to reach that stupid limit loading the same number of WADs and/or PK3 for the problems to begin... *wave*

Thanks anyway for thine attention! :)

I thought the virtual file limit was 1024 now (in 1.8) ?

Yep in 1.8 Skyjake increased the limit to 1024. This should be more than enough.
