this is probably old to you guys but I thought this was interesting. Unfortionately there are no recommended requirements posted as far as I know of and maybe they had time to get some performance out of the Geforce series with all the time they had. Maybe I am being optimistic but there has to be some good coming out of this. Your ideas, thoughts and opinions please.

Herm, didn't they say September? Or June? Or July?
We'll never know.

it was september at first, then their source code got hacked, (they caught the guys who did it and found the source code on their computer) so they spent all this time rewriting it but something tells me they wern't ready anyway and got "lucky" by having their source code hacked so they could rewrite it. Maybe thats why they put the source code on a network with outlook express (which has more holes then swiss cheese) and has little to no security. That is one of the ideas is that they baited someone into a suposed "easy" hack but, we will never know.

They've said they went gold in September, even by their promised sept30th release, before the hackings.

well, we will just have to wait and see. Hopefully it wont turn out like duke nukem forever or full throttle II A.K.A. all talk, no show.
I just thought of jokes about those games.
they are like smart blondes, they simply don't exist.
they are like atlantis, people have heard of it, some have seen it but no one knows where they are at.

Hopefully the game play will be as good as the first one :)

Hopefully it will be better than the first. The first is way over-hyped.

This thread belongs in other games. Why is it even here? Get it moved. As for this story of it going gold, I don't believe it a bit.

I just hate it when threads such as this appear in the wrong place. Especially when it's just another DooM III/Half Life 2 speculation.:(

I'm not sure if this is what you meant, but several Half-Life texture conversion packs for DooM have been created.

Except there hasn't been any talk from the 3D Realms Fiasco Team for a long time... has it been years now since they showed a few screens... Heh. I have faith that Half-Life II will be released. Duke Nukem Forever on the other hand seems like the whole development team got sucked into a Bermuda Triangle vortex. :p
