for some reason i click the "Get from master" button and it just stays at the "searching for servers text" on ALL DOOM GAMES
but when i do it on heretic and hexen theres no servers but at the bottom it gives a description of a doom server. Any one know how to fix this?

Uh... what're you using? Legacy? Skulltag? ZDaemon? Doom Connector? Doom95 over IPX? (heh)

I have the same problem :(
With the version 1.8.1 of doomsday, impossible to display the list of the servers,
But if you want to join a game and that you know his name or the server's IP address, made a manual connection ;)
Or try Doom connector (codeimp.com) :D

The Legacy master server is never up either. If they even have on anymore.
Doom Connector seems to be one of the best alternatives... except for us mac doomers.

I have notice also that in the Network option in the control panel, the slot password is henceforth empty with the last version of doomsday *squint*
Maybe that it comes of me, I am not sure :D

They should stop working on engine features and start working solely on multiplayer/networking.
The engine is great, now if only we could play against one another alittle easier.

It is true that it is a pity because on internet, rare are the game to create :(
Doomsday is made more for the solo game that of the multiplayer

Practically the only way to get a Doom game going these days is Lan parties, Direct Telephony(haha, love that word) or IRC.
Oh well. Single Player is still brilliant.

wtf? I agree with you on the singe player of course ;)
However Doom Connector and ZDaemon make it very easy to find a fun game online. Are these programs not available for mac?

I went to the link for the doom connecter and do not see a link to dl it anywhere...It just shows you how to use skulltag to go online...
also I found another link from other sites but it appears to be down...
can anyone host a copy of doomconnector so I can get it or does anyone know of a working link to DownLoad it?
