Hi,
so now i downloaded this huge 200mb "high res" texture pack from http://switch.to/doom2textures but i can't find any installation instructions.
I didn't even try to install it in linux, i wanna make it work for windows first.

Where do i have to extract those files? Do i have to make a .ded file? or...do i have to repack the wad? hm..help me!

theres a better texture pack then that. its not as big and it has closer to the original textures.
its the jdtp.
and im gonna make it smaller but no loss of quality
go to www.jdql.tk
all the links are there

hm. ok i will download that. but i think i m gonna stick with the original textures...they just look like...the doom i discovered when i was 12 years old ;)

The only thing i really liked was the jDRP with the 3d models disabled. The flame effect of the imps just looks awesome...

JDTP is missing a good number of textures... a number of them used in some 32 map wads I have...

Why did you bump this :P

Also, if the JDTP is missing textures, why didnt you tell us which ones rather than downloading that awful 200 meg texture pack?
