ok. so i did d/l the "beta".

not telling wher.

i played it on my copm (Athlon XP 2700+)(Radeon 9600 PRO) (512 mb pc3200 DDRAM)(ASUS A7N8X-X mobo)

settings to HIGH (exec highquality.cfg in console if u didn't no how...) at about 30-40 fps

but....u have to realize, its a beta. and its not fully optimized yet.

so>...... i let my dad play it on his PC (Athlon XP 2400+)(Geforce 2 mx400)(bla bla)

he ran it in medium quality fairly well. it surprise me..
it did slow down though, during zombie attacks, when he turned the flashlight on.......

i hope that gives you some idea of what the reqs. of the game could be....

I thought talk fo the alpha and beta was banned? Just a note, you might want to not talk about the alpha and beta here since newdoom has a policy and if you read some of the sticky posts doom_dude made you would have found that out.

By the way chech out the first page of Doom Specs and Speculations, that will give you an idea of what you might expect.

Yeah welcome to ND and shut up about betas and alphas of D3. Before I toast this the ALPHA and BETA are not optimised so telling us how well they run or whatever is a waste of breath.
