Can anyone out there help me out! I'm trying to find a way to play Doom 2 co-operatively online! I have the original version of Doom, Doom 2, and Final Doom. I also have the newer Collector's Edition of all 3 on CD. None will allow me to play co-op unless I connect via modem or LAN. Is there a utility out there to enable co-op games over the Internet? Please help me if you can!
Thanks in advance!

Zdoom and Skull Tag are the most common. But you can use Legacy on it. Least I do, none of the other ports will work for me x.x

I need help too.
I downloaded zdaemon, enter the zdaemon, enter the game (it's said I'm player 6, on the gold team.).
I started to play, but I didn't see anyone from my team or from the opponent team. it's like to play alone. why?

That is soo not treu....
Those 2 are used the least....
Zdaemon is used the most of all... but for DM mostly...
COOP is still a little buggy... but thats gonna be fixed soon...
Anyhow, youre right on the legacy part... that works pretty well with Doom Connector

You have to be on blue or red teams. Go to player setup and select your team colour.
I thought DC was dead. Did someone bring it back? *confused*
As for ZDaemon co-op, I noticed that after you die once the monsters won't attack you until you shoot them. Plus, the monsters seem almost invincible. It took me ages just to beat a former soldier to death with my fist.

Legacy beats the living crap out of Zdaemon and Skulltag for single player and bots, but you might actually get better multiplayer results by using Skulltag (Zdaemon is pretty much dead no matter how many dozens of empty servers are opened at Doom Connector), cos it's net code is almost as good as Quake III's, pretty fast.

Zdaemon is not dead you fool, have you actually used the Zdaemon launcher instead of DC before?

To bad there is no multiplayer launcher for us Mac peeps.
It would also be helpful if there was a permanent Doom Multiplayer server somewhere for us Doom Legacy people.
If there is one I'm not aware of it and the master server is ALWAYS down.

Yes, I believe by CodeImp. I recommend ZDaemon nonetheless, many of my friends have been banned from DC and eventually I just said "screw it".
