Not saving

Hi Just installed jdoom and am quite impressed.
I have a problem though. The save game feature does not work. Can anybody help?

create a file in /run/jdoom folder and name it savegame:
C:/doomsday/run/jdoom/savegame
this worked for me.

Nothing worse than getting to the 7th level in doom2 and then getting fragged & not being able to save!

Actually, instead of pressing space to skip/end the text that appears, press the ctrl key, it doesn't fire you're weapon, and doesn't press the switch, allowing you to save as you wish. I always do this with the text intermissions.
