Hexen save problem

im not sure if this issue has ever been adressed before so i appologizse if it has. I have dowloaded and installed the latest version of doomsday, damn spiffy i might add, and i intstalledd the 1.1 patch for hexen and the game runs fine. The problem occurs whenever i try and save or if i finish the level, then the game crashes and i get an error message. This has been really bugging me and i was incredibly siked about playing hexen again, just beat doom 1 and 2 on ultra violence, and was it sweet! well thanks in advance for any help you might give!

i just ran into this last night, just finished heretic, started up hexen. played a bit, tried to save, and then i was looking at my desktop, no error or anything :(

needless to say, the game was not saved :(

EDIT: it turns out we are just blind, there is a obvious sticky post on the top of this forum page about this issue :)
