the snes post is actually the most faithfull of all the Doom 1 ports would you beleive!!!
The GBA Doom has many monsters and level missed out, and all blood is green :/
Luckily they remidied this with Doom2, which is a completly faithfull port, all enemies are there (even the icon of sin) and blood is red. the only thing missing is the secret levels but oh well.

Ugh, why do they put good PC and console games on the GBA? It almost completly ruins the graphics, and Doom didn't have too much to start with...Besides, if you afford a GBA, and its games, you can probably afford atleast a Gamecube.

On GBA Doom II, MAP15, Industrial Zone has been split into 2 maps, because its too big for the GBA to handle. Wasn't GTA3 ported onto GBA somehow? I think it became a top down version of the game in 2.5D and looked worse than the original GTA.

the snes post is actually the most faithfull of all the Doom 1 ports would you beleive!!!SNES Doom has the most accurate maps (as far as general layout) compared to other Doom 1 console ports, but the game takes hits in other areas.
The GBA Doom has many monsters and level missed out, and all blood is green :/Yah, GBA Doom 1 is basically a port of Atari Jaguar Doom, with a few things tweaked here and there, plus 8 extra DM maps.
Luckily they remidied this with Doom2, which is a completly faithfull port, all enemies are there (even the icon of sin) and blood is red. the only thing missing is the secret levels but oh well. No, they're in there. (Well, at least in my copy. *winky* )

Yeah, it's better than Snes Doom - everything is textured and enemies have more than one orientation.
To be honest though, I preferred the Duke3d and Ecks Vs. Sever games on the GBA.

Yeah, with shrinking, freezing, coloured lighting, jumping, look up/down.
It's quite short, but I preferred it to Doom/2 GBA, since it had all-new levels and stuff - whereas I've played Doom/2 vanilla a million times.

Doom for GBA is just the biggest piece of ported trash ever, its even worse than the snes version and that's much saying.
GBA coders aren't currently the skilled enough to make fast and good looking FPS', plus u can't really expect great performance from such a slow (compared to another very popular pocket game system...) hardware.
My choice would be: forget it.

Doom GBA is better than the Snes version in my opinion. It has multiple angles and textures on the ceiling and floor. But out of Doom and Doom2 GBA, Doom2 runs faster.
Even so, I'd recommend Duke3d instead :P

(compared to another very popular pocket game system...)if you are talking about the N-Gage then you are wrong. that thing isn't popular:p
