Hey everyone,
I finished the 2nd version of my soundtrack upgrade for Hexen. In general, the overall sound quality has improved. Each song has a slightly more realistic atmosphere, than my original versions. And this time around I even fixed some midi glitches. Here's the official "What's New" in the readme.txt
What's New:
- Upgraded a few instruments (mainly the timpani)
- Fixed some glitches in the base midis
- Added a post rendering effect (the chorus filter)
- Boosted the Ogg Vorbis quality
- Added Caldera add-on support
- Added a special addition to the main Hexen theme
Like before, all the songs are in ogg vorbis format, but this time I increased the quality (longer download though). And, yes, there is support for the Caldera add-on. It's available for download at www.doomsdayhq.com . Here is a link to a low quality sample and the full soundtrack.
Low Quality Sample (2.83 MB) (in mp3 for general compatibility) - http://www.goremata.net/music/hexen/fortr.mp3
The Full Soundtrack (74.3 MB) - http://www.goremata.net/music/hexen/HexenMs.zip
The readme.txt file has instructions on how to install and use it. Also this page contains all the readme information http://www.goremata.net/hexenms.html
If you try out the soundtrack, have a vote on the pole. And/or leave comments about it, the more opinions, the better :)
